Are you practicing proper oral hygiene? The American Dental Hygienists’ Association (ADHA) and the Wrigley Oral Healthcare Program (WOHP) are partnering to raise public awareness on the importance of maintaining good oral health to prevent disease. This year’s theme is “Do the daily 4”.

 

What does “Do the daily 4” mean? The goal is to make people aware of the importance of the follow 4 ways to keep teeth clean and healthy: 

  1. Brush teeth twice daily for at least two minutes to reduce plaque and prevent cavities
  2. Floss every day to remove plaque and food particles that cannot be reached by a toothbrush.
  3. Rinse with an ADA recommended antimicrobial mouth rinse to help prevent gum disease
  4. Chew sugar-free gum after meals to while you’re on-the-go.
