Nov. 20, 2013 – SAN ANTONIO — Benefit Management Administrators (BMA), a San Antonio, TX- based third-party administrator today announces their Organ Transplant Program partnership with Fairmont Specialty, part of Crum & Forster group, an A rated provider of insurance and reinsurance products.
This partnership allows BMA to offer an Organ Transplant Program on a stand-alone basis, no matter the medical stop-loss carrier. In addition to a general Organ Transplant Program, BMA will also offer Fairmont Specialty’s Kidney Carve Out Rider for Kidney-related claims.
“BMA is pleased to begin offering Transplant Programs to employer groups,” said James Burkholder, President and CEO of BMA. “With a growing number of transplants being performed, the addition of these programs gives BMA’s employer groups a way to provide cost-effective and quality care to employees.”
The Organ Transplant Program allows employer groups to pay a predetermined premium, and in return they get predictable health benefits costs and no claims liability. Employers are protected from 100% of the costs of procedures performed at in-network hospitals.
“Fairmont Specialty is excited to partner with BMA to offer a robust carve out program to satisfy this market need. We look forward to providing BMA’s employer groups a way to decrease costs in today’s healthcare environment,”
